Arwen is a Mersey Class lifeboat 12-26 purchased directly from the RNLI.?One of the best sea going boats to be made. The Cat engines ( low engine hours ) push her along at around 15/16kts through mostly any weather.The propellers and ruddersare ingeniously set into partial tunnels within the hull which provides protection against damage in shallow waters. She has dual controls linked by hydraulic steering and throttles.??Re fitted at Nobel boat yard the vessel has been fitted with all new radio, plotters and Radar systems.?A toilet has been added and is well maintained by Mallaig Boatyard.?She is currently operating as the Small Isles school ferry to RUM, Eigg and Muck.?Excellent sea boat fitted with two 320 HP V8 Caterpillar engines with less than 2000 hours on them.?
