Lazy Monkey is a charming and very well looked after 45’ reverse layout cruiser stern narrowboat built in 2012 by Piper Narrowboats and beautifully fitted out by Brayzel Narrowboats.
She is in lovely condition both inside and out having had the front & rear decks & roof repainted in the last year and a half. She was last blacked in January 2024 and there is also a full survey on the vessel from April 2025.
The rear deck is 6’6” and is a lovely social space. The engine, a Canaline 38 sits under the deck boards. This was last serviced in August 2024. The gas lockers sit either side of the rear deck and double up as seats. Propulsion is aided by the Vetus bowthruster.
Steps lead through glazed front doors into the saloon. This has a solid fuel stove, a couple of cupboards (one housing the electrics), and a modern sofabed.
The galley is next. There is a breakfast bar with a couple of bar stools, a stainless steel sink with draining board, a four burner gas hob, oven & grill, a microwave oven & a fridge with separate freezer space. There are plenty of storage options including a wine rack, and a side hatch on the port side adds light and air.
The corridor to the bathroom has a floor to ceiling cupboard. The bathroom has a Thetford cassette loo (with spare cassette), a ceramic wash basin set over a cupboard, and a curtained shower cubicle.
The bedroom is in the forward cabin. The bed is a cross bed (6’1”x4’6”) with storage under. There are cupboards / wardrobes either side of the bed and another cupboard to the left of the steps which has a TV aerial cable in.
Steps lead up into the well deck. The water tank is in the bows, and the well deck measures 3’4”. The cratch cover has clear panels and was new in December 2023. There is a storage locker / seat across the front of the well deck.
She is centrally heated by a diesel fired Webasto (reconditioned in Feb 2025) and the hot water is heated by the Webasto, the engine or an immersion heater. All the lighting is LED.
12v power is from the bank of 3 domestic batteries (with Victron Blutooth monitor) and 230v is from either landline or the 1600w Victron inverter / charger. A galvanic isolator is also installed.
She is in lovely condition and ready for immediate occupation whether for liveaboard or a floating holiday cottage.
