Description

The Lochin 333 follows the inspirational Robert Tucker designed 33 footer on which the R.N.L.I. Brede Class lifeboat was based constructed in the 1980's. The sea going characteristics of this hull are much appreciated in the commercial and leisure world alike. 'Otarie' has been operated as a survey craft using sophisticated hydrographic equipment and the vessel adaptable for this purpose. . She has now rebuilt Perkins 120hp engines naturally aspirated engines the installation was completed in 2021 providing a very economical package. Previously Coded to MCA (Cat.2) which has now lapsed. The cockpit space and accommodation layout are excellent. The vessel is VAT paid for UK waters.

Accommodation

From forward - FORECABIN, fully lined interior. with two 'tiered' bunks on the starboard side with stowage under the lower bunk and a seat to port. Access to anchor locker forward and foredeck via a deck-head hatch. HEADS (P): electric flush sea toilet with plumbing for the sink if required. Access panel to electrical circuitry and AC/DC distribution panel adjacent to helm. Companionway leading to: WHEELHOUSE with KAB suspension seat, adjacent control console to port with electronic head-up displays, etc., GALLEY to starboard with stainless steel sink (H&C), 2-burner hob, microwave and fridge. Immediately aft is a pedestal table (currently removed) with further seating/berth to port. A Mikumi warm air heating unit serves the accommodation areas (requires servicing). Re carpeted 2022. Central door to: COCKPIT - a clear area with flush hatches to both engine compartments and a further central hatch to a storage area between the fuel tanks aft. Additional under-gunwhale apertures provide useful storage. A central transom door gives direct access to the water for diving or equipment deployment. Removeable access ladder to: FLY-DECK - central bench seat (2/3 persons), Fly-screen and life-raft stowage. (New cover 2022) Duplicated engine controls and electronics.

Engine(s)

2 x PERKINS 6.354 naturally aspirated diesel engines rated at approx. 120 bhp, driving through ZF MPM220A adjusted angle gearboxes (Ratio 1.5:1), connected to conventional shafts and NAB propellers (matched to revised engine power). Both engines were fitted in 2020/1 having been professionally reconditioned and dyno tested. Electro-hydraulic trim tabs are fitted.

FUEL: 200 gals (900 litres) in two stainless steel tanks
WATER: 15 gals (67 litres) in one tank
