Newport Isle of Wight UK
Challenge is an 11.54mtr steel hulled ex survey vessel whos class 3 ticket expired in 2022. Stable, solid construction this is a sea going vessel that was used upto 25 miles offshore.
When I purchased her in 2020 she came out of the water, was extensively worked on and now only needs a few bits and pieces to finish her off as a weekend boat or even live aboard or can be used right away for fishing or day trips.
There is a huge space on the rear deck to either fit seating or leave open to fish 8 people comfortably.
I replaced the front of the wheelhouse fitting new seals all round, removed tons of rust, old hydraulics, repainted inside and out with Jotun epoxy primer, and quality antifoul and topcoats. Insulated the central hold and other areas with celotex I extended the wheel house to accommodate a small galley, seating/bed arrangement and shower/toilet. Replaced nav lights too.
She has a new bow thruster and has been in the water for a year with bilges still bone dry. There are no leaks or bad areas in the hull.
She has 6 x heavy duty leisure batteries and control panel with integrated charger, a new 3 way fridge, Nautica cooker with oven, radar, depth/speed, plotter and VHF all in working order.
There are two 'pods' for 2 x forward berths where the sonar array was originally.
The Perkins 6354 has had the sump professionally repaired, new filters etc and starts first time every time. Two new heat exchangers were also fitted at the beginning of the year. A complete new exhaust was also fitted.
I have a commercial 8 man liferaft that was recommissioned a year or so ago, there are two anchors with chain etc.
Nothing similar was available at this price in this condition, she's currently on a Berth on the isle of Wight that may be transferrable.
Challenge can be sea trialed before purchase once a refundable deposit has been agreed.
The toilet is plumbed and working, the water tank and pump is new, pipes run, just needs a small sink in the toilet and taps in the galley. Toilet door required, the pods and seating area needs cushions but all the hard work has been done. New hydraulic steering lines and pump refurbished. New bilge pumps.
No time wasters please, I know whats out there, come and look and everything else can be discussed. Due to lack of time and change of circumstances I am forced to sell otherwise I'd be keeping and using on a regular basis.

The wheelhouse is constructed from 3mm aluminium checker plate fitted on 3mm rubber to the deck to avoid any electrolysis, insulated with celotex then covered with ply inside.
